Introducing the BIG Launcher for Android. The first home screen optimized for elderly people and people with eye problems. It uses big buttons and large fonts for all the basic functions of the phone - telephone, SMS messages, camera, gallery, SOS button and installed applications. SOS button allows automatic dialing of a pre-defined number or sending an emergency text message with GPS coordinates. Buttons can be customized.
BIG Launcher is optimized for accessibility, it is compatible with screen readers (Talkback for example). It can be also controlled by physical buttons only. There are 3 different color schemes available: Light - for normal usage, Dark - also suitable for people with Retinitis pigmentosa and Blue - with yellow texts for ideal readability. You can also choose from 3 different text sizes.

The telephone part uses big fonts and colorful icons to easily distuingish important items. Commonly used items are at the top of the list. |

Q: How to set an alarm?
A:
Click the clock or date. If any alarm is set, the bell icon is displayed next to the clock.
Q: After clicking the gallery button, nothing happens. What's wrong?
A: This sometimes happens on a small number of nonstandard devices. In that case, you can choose your preffered gallery application in preferences dialogue - menu key.
Q: Is it possible to change the default home programs?
A: You can customize all the buttons. If you want to revert back to default button, press back in the application picker.
Q: How to set BIG Launcher as default launcher?
A: When you press the home button after installing, you will be offered to choose from the installed launchers and you can check the 'use default' option. When you can't see this dialogue, you have to clear defaults from your current launcher - go to system settings / applications / manage applications, find your current launcher, click it and press 'clear default' button.
Q: How to revert back to my old launcher?
A: You can reset default launcher setting in settings menu.
